    When I saw the movie "The Passion of The Christ" I could not stop the tears to think my Savior Jesus would take my place. He was the only one worthy to pay the price and blood pure that would satisfy God's anger. I'm a sinners saved by his blood. My blood could not say anyone, but because Jesus never sinned, and was born pure (no sin). Only he could pay the price. I owe him so much, but all he ask is that I come to repentance an believe in him not only who he is, but what he did on the cross for me.

    The whole NT used the Koine Greek verb, σταυρόω _(staurów),_ which meant "fence with pales" by pile-driving (Thucydides, _Peneloponnese War_ 7.25). As applied to crucifixion it made for the most horrific crucifixion possible: a penetrative crucifixion that wasn't through-body impalement. Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and Tertullian all acknowledged the invasive nature of this shameful obscenity. The church has sanitized the definition to "nail to a cross, or _tropaeum."_ Seneca Younger, Moral Epistles 101.10-14 Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho 91.1-2 Irenaeus, Against Heresies 2.24.4 Tertullian, Ad Nationes 1.12.3-4, An Answer to the Jews 10.7-8, Against Marcion 3.18.3-4.

      There is nothing to interpret in most of these verses. They are clear. God says what He means and means what He says. Almost all of them are very plain and clear (God is for Israel, He is their God, Israel will always exist, salvation is of the Jews etc). You can choose to disagree with the Word but there isn't much room to worry about interpretation here. @@jennifersangma8766

      @@everlastingstrength1 well sir I don't have the authority to interpret or teach anybody according to our church tradition🤷‍♂🤗 but sure I can read it..but let me just ask you what is your interpretation of "from the river to the sea" thank you sir👍

    • @everlastingstrength1
      @everlastingstrength1 7 місяців тому

      The Word of God was written for all people. You don’t need anyone to interpret it. Jesus Himself said that the Holy Spirit will guide you in all things including the Bible. You don’t need permission or authority. Why would church tradition block you? Think about that. Do you really believe that God contradicts Himself by having church control the very thing He gave you that defines being a disciple, freedom, and loving God? Read John 8:31-32 and John 14:1-30. People use this “interpret” issue to block people from reading the Bible on their own. To put the thought in their head that somehow they won’t be able to understand it or interpret it properly. This is completely false. 95% of it is very straightforward and with the Holy Spirit, you won’t have any problem because God designed it that way he wrote it that way. It’s man that’s the problem not God.

    It did not say that they were drops of blood, it said that they were..”AS IT WERE GREAT DROPS OF BLOOD “…..and Jesus was not an unhealthy person that He should be sweating blood, because the sacrificial Lamb was PERFECT and without any kind of blemish….so away with doctors and physicians theories..THEY WERE”AS IT WERE DROPS OF BLOOD “….if they were, then it would’ve said “they were drops of blood.

    • @everlastingstrength1
      @everlastingstrength1 8 місяців тому

      The medical condition is called Hematidrosis. Sweat turns red and thick from blood being mixed with sweat. You are sweating blood because the capillaries break and bleed into the sweat glands from the stress. The wording is used because it looks like you are bleeding, but you’re actually sweating blood. They look like drops of blood, but they’re actually blood mixed with sweat. You’re not looking at this properly. Luke said they appear to be drops of blood because they looked like he was bleeding. But he knew what it was because it’s well documented for thousands of years. So the wording in the Bible is correct and what I said is correct. Do some research and you will find this to be true.

    If Jesus was God then to undergo the crucifixion voluntarily puts it in a different league from that of the 6,000 slaves who were crucified by the Romans. While the crown of thorns was put in place and the lashings before the terminal event occurred, his father stood by and just observed. What kind of compassion is that! And what about the sins of the millions who lived and died before the crucifixion, were they also forgiven? The whole story is so bad. I can forgive you without insisting that you kill your child, or sacrifice an anima. What a relief it is a figment of evil imagination.

    The Turin Shroud shows at least 300 scourge marks on the body, thus i really believe he died from blood lose and then cardiac arrest / shock in the end, i believe that the romans perfected the art of crucifixion's and knew all the areas of the body to nail up on the cross or the wood used to crudity a person. The amount of pain a human would fall unconscious for sure there's not one human being that could take that much pain with out falling un consious during the torquer ? Just knowing that the body is going to go through extreme pain the brain shuts down and massive amopu8nts of adrenaline & other pain reducing endorphins gets pumped through the body to help it cope? To date not one DR of medicine has mention this fact?

    The horrific appearance of Christ on the cross was a public display of how grotesque sin is to God. But it is almost blasphemous to think that in the garden Christ was cowering from the physical pain he would endure when after him Martyred saints would sing hymns and praise God on their way to the cross. The real torture that Christ endured was being forsaken by the father as He poured out his wrath against the sin of the world on His only perfect son.

    Dr. Greg Viehman-Everlasting Strength : When the Romans crucified Jesus, believe it or not, they basically did Him a really big favor. How could anyone come up with such a morbid thought? Simple. Jesus died on the cross after only six hours. had He not been crucified, He would have been dead in three or four days; but He would have suffered all that time. Remember, they scourged Him. When the Romans were through scourging Jesus, He was unrecognizable, He looked like He had been run through a meat grinder. And remember, they probably didn't sterilize their flagellums before they used them on Jesus. Mel Gipson's movie, "The Passion of the Christ" really isn't even close. Jesus was scourged naked. They scourged everyone naked. The whips they used were designed to wrap around a person's body, and rip out flesh. When they were through scourging Jesus, you may have been able to see his intestines. You may have been able to see Jesus' heart, and lungs. He was all ripped apart. He had skin and flesh hanging and dangling from his body. This may or may not have happened to Jesus, but it happened to many people who were crucified after being scourged. Birds would land onto your body and pick at and peck at the pieces of skin and flesh, hanging from your body; thinking they were getting some kind of worm. This may have happened to Jesus. Now there wasn't much sanitation back then. People who were being scourged often would defecate and urinate all over themselves. They may even vomit. All these bodily fluids, went into the ground; into the dirt. While you are being scourged, your hands are fastened to a ring, high above your head, to keep you from falling; because after you were hit two or three times with the whip, you would not be able to stand anyway. So after they were through scourging Jesus, they released Him from that ring, and He fell to the ground; into the ground contaminated with human wastes. Now let us get Jesus to Golgotha. The condemned often were forced to carry their cross piece through town, totally naked. Now Jesus did have His clothes on when He arrived at Golgotha; but His clothes were quickly stripped from His and He was crucified naked. Remember, people who were crucified, defecated, urinated all over themselves. Those bodily wastes went into the ground. When Jesus got to Golgotha where he was crucified, the Romans stripped off His clothes and threw Him to the ground, on top of His cross piece He was going to be nailed to. He wallowed around on the dirt naked with hundreds of open wounds all over His body; wallowing around in the dirt, contaminated with the bodily fluids of countless men and women who had been crucified before Him. And I guarantee you, His cross piece had been used to crucify someone before Him. It probably was not washed off before Jesus was nailed to it. So he had wallowed around, naked, in the dirt, at Golgotha, where He died. If the Roman had not crucified Him, He would have died from septic shock, sepsis, infection, and blood poisoning within three or four days. So they did Jesus a favor by crucifying Him, because He died in only six hours, instead of maybe as long as six days.

    His suffering, came from His regretness to see how human is dust and bore the curse He released to man, woman, snake and soil in Genesis as they ate the forbidden fruit = death. To see the impact of sin that is so destructive and no other but Jesus gave His life so we receive forgiveness through His blood. The cross where He offers His forgiveness and the deep regret for Him to release the curse as penalty to human and all creation although it was the result of human's rebellious action. Like parents who sometimes feel sad as to discipline the children when they ae disobeyed. Thank you Abba ... for Your kindness and mercy 😭

    What I have seen over the years is so many people, so many Christians, seem to think Jesus was the only one crucified. Or that he was the only one they used nails on. Or that he carried a big heavy cross after being whipped to an inch of his life. I studied Roman crucifixion years ago and have pointed out to many how the soldiers that came by to break the legs of those that lasted too long were like the ' coroner's ' and their job was to finalize the crucifixion and make official record of prisoners being officially ' dead '. No one came down from a Roman crucifixion cross with any life in them. The spear in the side was a test to see if they were truly already dead. According to the scriptures Jesus was tested and found to have died before the ' coroner ' soldiers got there. John 19:33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs. John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. John 19:35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true; and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. That we might know that he was truly dead and not just in a coma. Plus I have also pointed out that according to the scripture Jesus may not have carried even the cross bar, and that not even ten feet. Whether or not he carried any of the wood he still BORE THE CROSS.

    You guys still don't get it ... who the Messiah is ... Blind leading the blind. Adam and Yashua are gods ... created in the image of their Creator ... The Messiah ... Yashua was a new sinless creation ... Speaking of a new beginning, created on the eighth day, of creation. Don't forget he became Messiah officially on his 30th birthday when he was baptized by John the Baptist ... another prophet greater then Yashua before his baptism ... before he started his ministry ... before his anointing of the Spirit of the Almighty One. John knew who his cousin was ... but Yashua told him to continue his mission as the law requires it. The Word became flesh during baptism where He became flesh through His temple ... His tabernacle ... HE IS THE VERY SPIRIT OF THE ALMIGHTY ONE!!! ... Becoming as the Son through the son of flesh, His vassal and temple. Only a sinless man can replace another man who was a sinner ... Adam ... and all of his children under him ... under his curse of death. Read Psalm 82:6 ... which the Messiah quoted in ... John 10:34. The Message just as the other prophets are the Almighty One mouthpiece. The Messiah even mentions this .... But you Christians are going by the understanding of pagans where you came from ... not by the understanding of the law or how the Hebrews understood it ... but still not perfectly ... He came to take back the birthright of Adam which was in Satan's hands ... making him a god ... the god of this world. ... second to redeem mankind from joining Satan in the results of his rebellion against the Almighty One ... which is death and termination from existence.

My wife and I watched The Passion, we couldn't stop crying during that scene, she was so moved by the movie that she became a Christian and brought me closer to Christ. It's amazing how the Holy Spirit works its wonders.
